Magpie
Well well, it's been well and truly over a week since my last post. Have been busy doing stuff and I suppose I kinda half lost interest, see it's not shiny and new any more :-(
Anyway, here's what's going on.
Played netball again tonight, think I am finally getting the hang of it.
Went on a back care course at work today.
Took Hulks wagon for a warrant of fitness this morning, it failed, needs new tires on the front. Don't know if I should tell him, it does have "DON'T MAKE ME ANGRY!!" written on it in big green letters.
All things shiny
Technicians, especially male ones (although I've met very few female ones, but I think even Ariskah will be extremely interested in this one) are attracted to shiny new things, especially with flashing lights, extra especially if those lights happen to be blue. Major Feltch Monkey has been having a bit of a spend, and bought Dook a shiny new G5 X-serve!! It's flash!! Sounds like a jet plane when the fans are going full speed and when you start it up the fans rev up like a motorcycle.
I want one!!
Went around to Mr Incredible's place on Sunday night to watch Batman begins. We invited Batman around but he had made other plans, I'm sure he would've enjoyed it though. (Mind you, he's probably already seen it, he does seem to be a bit of a movie goer)
Anyway, since there was only the 2 of us there after we'd watched the movie, we watched the extras DVD (since we had the 2 disc version). On the second DVD they had all the articles about making the movie, sets, fights etc. They also had one on the Tumbler (in case you're not familiar, the Tumbler is the Batmobile in Batman Begins) and it turns out that the tumbler is a real car!! You read that right, it's an actual it and it has a 5.7l V8 in it as well!! Not only that but all of the stunts in the movie were done with the actual car, including the high-speed chase. And, to top it all off, they didn't even break it doing any of the stunts. I really want one!!
In the summer time....
Since Monday was a holiday (labor day), and I have plenty of leave that I have to use up before the end of next month, I took Thursday and Friday off last week, effectively giving myself a week off. (Well 5 days if you want to get technical, but hey a working week is only 5 days anyway) Was a nice break. Got some work done on the car that needed doing, it's more back together now than it has been the whole time I've had it. Watched a couple of movies and just generally relaxed. Well most of the time, except when we had to take the dog to the vet in the middle of the night on Sunday.
And that's that.
Not quite but it is getting on a bit (ten to ten) so I'm going to go to bed.
(Am writing this on the PC instead of the Mac and just used the built-in spellcheck, works well)
