Off Topic

Okay, here goes. I'm going to try and make an effort to write something at least once a week, even if it is completely random. I suppose I could give you a brief summary of the week’s activities and then at least that should fill up a few more bytes on the Internet, I wonder if it'll ever get full, unlikely. You're also unlikely to get anything meaningful if I keep spending half an hour looking for a link I can't find.

I FINALLY got around to listing the Silly Little Japanese Car on Trademe earlier in the week. It's currently getting good hits and I've had several expressions of interest, including several people who said they're really keen on it. One guy was supposed to come and look at it last night but he didn't show up. Dad was saying that somebody stopped and looked at it this morning, I don't know if it was the guy who didn't show up last night or just somebody going past who saw the For Sale sign in the back window. Oh well, first person with the cash gets the keys.

I've just been and had coffee with M & E. It was good to catch up with them again, although I saw E at the gym last night & M at Ceroc on Tuesday. Speaking of gym, I thought I'd have a go at doing some bench presses last night but today my shoulders have been quite sore. Okay, so it's not exactly my shoulders, I'm sure the muscle has some name, go ask a person who did biology

Grumpy Dwarf

So after spending all day reinstalling Windows on my PC, I went to install AutoAssault only to find that the install media is a DVD. My PC only has a CD-RW drive. Bother! Fortunately I was able to plug in the external DVD-ROM that I use with my Mac and install from there. After installing (& rebooting, welcome to Windows) I went to play the game, forgetting of course that you have to patch the life out of it before you can play it. Currently it is downloading a 313Mb file, has been going for 25minutes and has an estimated 48minutes to go. Arghhh!

Out for a Spin

Ariskah & I, along with M & the Pharmacist, have been attending Ceroc lessons for the past couple of weeks. Last night was our second lesson. They run from 6pm til 7pm which makes Tuesday night a little bit hectic but we managed to get there on time this week & also get some dinner along the way, something which Ariskah, the Pharmacist & I all missed out on last week, don't know how M feared but I think he went straight home afterward. Tonight's lesson involved moves called Dude, Loopthru's, First Move & I Go You Go. All up I think there are 9 spins for the girls & 3 spins for the guys, but after you've done it a few times it's like spin, spin, spin, spin. Especially when we were practicing the Loopthru's and the I Go You Go. Still it was LOTS of fun.

Yesterday was also International Talk Like a Pirate Day so Dook was doing a fine impersonation of a pirate. If I'd remembered I might've gone dressed up as one too, I've already been told I looked like a Pirate back in January at the Sydney Zoo.

Recently I helped Ariskah shift, you can read all about it here.

Flag Boy

My Grandfather passed away last week and yesterday afternoon we had the funeral. Because he was in the Otago Mounted Riffles and fought in the Second World War they had the New Zealand flag draped over his coffin. When we got out to the cemetery and they were getting ready to lower the coffin into the ground the funeral director lady folded up the flag and handed it to me and I got to stand there holding the flag which was SO cool!!
